Organisers of the 29th international biennial exhibition of automotive equipment and aftermarket products, that will be held in Bologna on May 25-28th 2022, are starting their engines with several initiatives for the international audience.
More than three years after the last in-presence event, Autopromotec, scheduled on May 25-28th, 2022 in Bologna, is confirmed as a must-go event to discover all the latest innovations and trends of the aftermarket automotive, to share perspectives on the present and future scenarios of the sector, but also an important business and networking opportunity. Attractiveness and business: these are the keywords of the strategic plan for international promotion developed by Autopromotec for the next edition. The organisers of the biennial international automotive equipment and aftermarket exhibition have launched a series of large-scale promotional activities with the aim of attracting the largest number of buyers, decision-makers and stakeholders at an international level.
The organisers of the exhibition have already announced that several halls are fully booked, while some sectors are experiencing strong growth. In the 2022 edition of Autopromotec, one of the strongest product categories is spare parts, components and car services, the most recent to have joined the event. In fact, while Autopromotec has featured equipment and tyres for more than 50 years, components and spare parts have “only” been included for about 15 years. In terms of attendance and therefore of exhibition surface area, the organisers have seen a huge surge compared to the last time, forcing them to increase the space dedicated to the show, increasing from the three pavilions of the previous edition to four.
Autopromotec will also be the right occasion to update personal and professional knowledge, thanks to a programme of workshops and events, especially devoted to the international audience. The 2022 edition of the show will be expanded with International Aftermarket Meetings, a round of six workshops of a global nature and with a European focus, whose working language will be English, which puts the spotlight on the most relevant issues for the sector, bringing the main players together for a series of in-depth meetings.
The meetings are based on Autopromotec’s extensive international reach and close relationships with all sector associations at a European and global level. The six meetings of the calendar will be held during the first two days of the 2022 edition of Autopromotec (25 and 26 May), organised with the contribution of EGEA (European Garage Equipment Association) and the main national and international trade associations. The focus of the meetings, specifically designed for an international audience, particularly European, will be on various central issues for the post-pandemic automotive world and will offer all supply chain players a unique opportunity to get up to date and share experiences.
The first titles have been already unveiled: The “Access to data and free competition” meeting will focus on access to technical information and onboard vehicle data and the issue of aftermarket competition. “Periodical Technical Inspections Conference” will be dedicated to the world of inspections, while the third meeting, the Global Aftermarket Conference, is dedicated to the automotive aftermarket sector. In addition to these meetings, three workshops will be held looking at components of the future, the new digital workshop and developments in the world of tyres.
But these are just the first details of the Autopromotec agenda, that will be fully unveiled in the following weeks. For the moment, the organisers show a particular interest in involving the international operators: the Italian Government is continuously loosening the Covid-related restrictions, making it easier for the foreign audience to plan their trip. Autopromotec, for its part, is devoting several activities to its international audience – including a special set of discounted flight and accommodation fares reserved for its visitors.
In addition to that, thanks to the full synergy with the Motor Valley system (the association that gathers together all the most important motorsport car and bike brands located in the Emilia-Romagna region), this year visiting Autopromotec will be a unique occasion to discover all the latest technical innovations of the aftermarket sector, but also be to live a memorable experience for all the motor enthusiasts.
