Automechanika Frankfurt 2016 – The Run Down!

Automechanika, the worlds leading trade fair for the automotive service industry is fast approaching. With 4,660 exhibitors from 74 countries and well over 100,000 people in attendance, it is the place to be for business and technological knowledge transfer. Below is a taste of what some of the exhibitors will be showcasing this year at Messe Frankfurt exhibition grounds.

Exhibitor Highlights

Nebula Systems – Hall 8, Stand J84

Nebula Systems Ltd will be debuting its ground-breaking new MECH5 diagnostics system ahead of the product’s official release date later this year.

MECH5 is a new secure, cloud-based, vehicle data analytics platform that can help garages access a wealth of data from within the ECUs of modern vehicles.

Nebula Systems team will be running live demonstrations of this innovative technology on large displays throughout the event, as well as a “What is MECH5” explanatory feature which will be looping during the day.

The stand will feature display MECH5 VCIs, and MECH5 brochures will be available in English, German and Spanish. Customers will also be able to sign up for a free demo account and pre-order the VCI for a special show price of £99.00 (RRP on release will be £150.00).

Roadlink – Stand 5.1, Stand C78

As one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle parts suppliers, Roadlink offers a complete range of new and remanufactured braking solutions, including calipers, brake shoes, pads, discs and drums, all of which will be demonstrated on stand by expert personnel ready to share the latest industry updates with visitors. Roadlink will also be exhibiting their market leading range of UK manufactured Bryden brake shoe riveting machines.

MAM – Hall 5.1, Stand E86

MAM has announced its return as an exhibitor at Automechanika where it will be promoting its suite of cloud-hosted and browser-based business  management software, data and e-commerce solutions.

MAM Software is a leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) and on-premise solutions for the automotive aftermarket. With an extensive user base in the UK and a rapidly expanding presence in North America, Automechanika provides the company with the optimal platform to identify and further develop new global opportunities.

It develops, sells and supports a portfolio of innovative business management, parts cataloguing, business intelligence and B2B & B2C e-commerce solutions. NGK Spark Plugs Ltd – Hall 3, Stand B51

Ignition specialist NGK will be celebrating its 80th anniversary at Frankfurt’s Automechanika show in Germany. It will present multiple range extensions, as well as showcasing a completely new product line for the automotive aftermarket with some exciting new initiatives.

At Automechanika, the company will provide information about the recent expansion of its European Technical Service offered to aftermarket customers and will also feature the first public appearance of the new brand design for the NGK and NTK brands.

Furthermore, it will be participating in the ‘Mechanic Games’ which is aimed at visitors from the workshop sector, and will be held on September 16th and 17th in the outdoor exhibition area Agora, the central area between Halls 3 and 4, where participants will compete in a variety of disciplines with the winning male, female and team each vying for a €250 prize.

Metelli Group – Hall 5, Stand D56

Metelli will be taking advantage of the exhibition to present the latest technical improvements in brake pads that have increased the quality of this fundamental product, bringing it perfectly in line with the foremost OES brands.

The technology developed by Metelli is called HybriX; it’s a mix of organic and ceramic materials and other special, innovative products. Metelli

That’s why the HybriX technology has obtained the American “Better Brake Law” certification, indicated by three small black leaves – top recognition in terms of environmental impact.

Other products that Metelli continues to invest in are its water pumps. Alongside the current range and the distribution kits, there are now new versions for heavy industrial vehicles, bringing the number of references to around 1,000.

Ring – Hall 3.1, Stand E31

Ring will be featuring its latest developments including workshop equipment, tyre care and battery charging products when it exhibits at Automechanika.

With a full range of products that have been developed with the retailer in mind, it will have a team of experts on hand to answer any questions throughout the exhibition. The brand will showcase the following products to retailers and distributors in order to explain the benefits that each brings to the end user:

  • For lighting it will be showcasing its Xenon130 halogen bulbs. They are the latest in halogen technology providing drivers with up to 130% more light on the road.
  • LED bulbs will also feature at the event. Using up to 80% less energy than a standard bulb, LED’s are the latest evolution in vehicle lighting technology.
  • The Under Bonnet Lamp RUBL1000, which uses three LEDs to provide 1,000 lumens of light output, has just joined the range.
  • The RSC612 from Ring is a multi-award winning SmartCharger and has become popular with mechanics working on vehicles of all sizes.

BM Catalysts -Hall 3.0, Stand E30

BM Catalysts have announced that it will be showcasing its market leading range of CaBMCtalytic Converters, Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) and Front Pipes to the global automotive industry, at its second Automechanika exhibition of 2016.

Like at the UK’s Automechanika trade show earlier this year, the UK-based manufacturer is looking to showcase its first range of Euro 5 parts, its recently launched DPF Pressure Pipes, as well as its Premium range of Blue Angel accredited Catalytic Converters.

MANNOL UK – Hall 6, Stand B25

A formidable European market offering and aftermarket excellence will be the key themes of MANNOL UK’s presence at Frankfurt.

On stand, visitors will get the exclusive opportunity to see the launch of it’s new oil guide as well as its new, hugely popular retro oil packaging. The team will also be on hand to offer expert advice and share tips with customers, alongside answering questions and providing a wealth of other technical information.  

Delphi – Hall 4.0, Stand C12

At Automechanika, Delphi will demonstrate how its aftermarket portfolio provides technicians with repair and service parts to cover all eventualities: from braking and steering, to engine management and fuel injection; to diagnostics and diesel testing.

Delphi representatives will be available to discuss the latest diesel and aftermarket products, diagnostics and training, as well as explain the enhanced level of service it is providing to its custUntitled-1 copyomers and growing network of Delphi Service and Delphi Diesel Centres

Also, it will feature the future of vehicles – with its new 48-volt, mild hybrid technology. Delphi’s 48-volt mild hybrid takes advantage of electrification to lower emissions and increase fuel economy by up to 15 percent in direct injection engines.

Other highlights showcased will  include diagnostic demonstrations, in particular, the launch of the new Delphi Diagnostic Solution Flash™ pass-thru device along with new, remanufactured and repaired injectors and turbos.

 IMI – Hall 2, Stand A60

The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is partnering with Automechanika to become their ‘Global Skills Partner’ with the aim of improving automotive skills and training, as well as providing visitors with quality seminar sessions around training, global standards and the importance of professionalism.
It will be hosting live IMI seminars and will be joined by Germany’s leading automotive training provider, Lucas Nuelle, hosting live demonstrations throughout the event.

TecAlliance – Hall 5.1/6.1, Stand A10

 TecAlliance, the name behind the TecDoc, TecRMI, Headline and TecCom brands, will again be at Automechanika Frankfurt, in its customary position between halls 5 and 6 where it will be displaying a host of its business services designed to support business across every sector of the automotive aftermarket.

Tenneco – Hall 4, Stand C11

Tenneco, a leading global manufacturer of ride control and emission control products, is celebrating the centennial of the Monroe® shock absorber brand and previewing an array of next-generation suspension and exhaust technologies at Automechanika.

Visitors to the stand will learn about the latest Tenneco technologies that are re-defining the driving and vehicle ownership experience, and help celebrate the Monroe brand’s first century of success. Each day will end with a happy hour from 5 to 6 p.m with live entertainment.

AUTOLOGIC – Hall 8.0, Stand K80

Autologic will be showcasing its cloud based, vehicle-connected aftermarket automotive diagnostics solution that enables mechanics and workshops to quickly identify faults in vehicles and ultimately, repair cars faster.autologic

MAHA – Hall 8, Stand Ao2, B06

MAHA premieres its new two-post lift family MAPOWER II with a total of nine models. On top of the electro-mechanical drive option, an electro-hydraulic drive option is available to the customers for the first time.

In total, the new two-post family comprises nine new models in six distinct load classes.
A new, characteristic modern design and the technologically advanced functions offer many highlights for the user and emphasise MAHA’s pioneering role.

In line with the electromechanical lift version, it focuses on sophisticated design and first-class craftsmanship for the electro-hydraulic variant of its two-post family MAPOWER II.

Comline Auto Parts –  Hall 5.1, Stand D98

Riding the crest of a wave following an exciting period, having won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade, Comline will be previewing a number of exciting developments.

The brand is famous for its filter and braking ranges, and these products will feature heavily on the 39 m2 stand. Steering and suspension will also play a lead role, as Comline continues to establish itself as a fast-growing force in this product category.

In addition, the brand will showcase a number of exciting new product introductions, including a comprehensive range of high-quality wheel bearing kits and important additions to its lubricants range, namely gear oils, transmission fluids and brake fluids.

An all-new Comline video will also broadcast for the very first time in Frankfurt and run on screens positioned across the exhibition stand. The video is being developed to emphasise the scope and scale of Comline’s impressive operation and to provide Automechanika visitors with an exclusive insight into the brand.

Trico – Hall 3.0, Stand A08

Trico blade specialists will be kicking off their 100 year celebrations at Automechanika. The exhibition itself will provide the Pontypool-based company the opportunity to showcase all of its products, but, in particular, its Exact Fit complete range.Trico

Any questions regarding Exact Fit can be directed to Product and Brand Manager, Sam Robinson, who will be on-hand to assist customers with technical and product information.

Champagne corks will be flying as Trico host a party during Automechanika Frankfurt. The original equipment manufacturer will be holding the event to thank its customers for their loyal support on Wednesday 14th September. Held in Bornheim, one of the liveliest corners of the city, guests will be able to enjoy an evening of freshly-prepared tapas and bubbly in the comfort of a private loft.

TRICO wants visitors to experience the ‘WOW’ factor, and a fantastic night awaits the lucky individuals.

KYB EUROPE – Hall 4, Stand E31

KYB, one of the leading suppliers of shock absorbers, coil springs and suspension mounting kits will be launching a brand new support tool at the Automechanika show.

The new 360 degree image library is aimed at assisting distributors and technicians alike by helping to identify the correct part for the job. Visitors are encouraged to go along to the KYB stand for a full demonstration on how this can improve the efficiency of their ordering process.

 

 Arnott – Hall 5, StArnottand C35

Started July 1st, Arnott Europe made the transition to a dedicated focus on Arnott’s Air Suspension Distributors. Its website has been transformed to be an information portal whereby you can find your nearest Arnott Distributor through our dealer locator which will be visible on its stand.

Three screens will be placed where you can see and try out how its dealer locator works. Of course the Arnott Europe team will be there to help you, provide additional information and if preferred, explain why it decided to make this move. Naturally, it will also display its current assortment along with new products, such as the Audi A6 4F/C6 completely new front air struts and rear air springs.

Motorservice – Hall 4.0, Stand C 42

Motorservice, the spare parts specialist, will be presenting its new app which enMOTORSERVICEables users to call up various product functions, as well as technical assistance, when on-the-go from anywhere in the world.

The app will provide customers with access to the company’s expertise, and benefit from support tools such as installation instructions and tips. Installation aids, videos and service information are also available via the app and will be available to download in twelve languages for iOS and Android devices.

 

EEC – Hall 5, StEECand B80

At Automechanika, the spotlight will be on technologies developed by the company for the OE sector across a range of applications, from cars to the heavy-duty vehicle market. In particular, it will present the new Gen 2 Plus complete filter module, a major innovation for diesel filtration designed to meet the increasingly demanding requirements of common-rail Euro 6 diesel engines. Brembo will be launching its new range of Xtra drilled discs for the first time in Germany and its developments in specific anti-counterfeiting measures for all discs and pads sold in the Aftermarket. The design of the box, which features pictures of Brembo employees, has a unique hologram which cannot be replicated. This packaging will be introduced to the market end of this year.

The website will be appearing in a new graphic look. With more than 700,000 unique hits last year and 40% returning visitors, www.bremboparts.com is the acknowledged reference point for braking professionals and drivers trusting in the quality of Brembo branded products.

Gates – Hall 4, Stand B12

The Gates stand at Automechanika will include further technical solutions for heavy-duty trucks, more belt kits for passenger cars and an extension to the Original Equipment manufacturer’s professional tools range. The theme of the display is ‘the revolution is here’. This message will be conveyed via a total experience area incorporated into the display. The presence of a typical VW engine will ensure that visitors will not have to look far to find hallmarks of Gates OE success.

Installers will be able to sign-up for a level of technical support that’s designed to get more jobs right first time. Meanwhile, trade customers (as well as those with the drive and ambition to become one) will be able to learn more about the commercial opportunities that Gates has to offer as they take advantage of hospitality in the GatesQuietZone.

Corteco – Hall 6, Stand B70

Celebrating 20 years as a leading aftermarket brand, the company will take the opportunity to unveil a new corporate design, introduce innovations in Cabin Air Filter technology and announce the publication of a new online catalogue.

Other breaking news will include developments in Start-Stop solutions, a Corteco product range that offers attractive profit opportunities for garages and looks set to feature as part of an important revenue stream for them over the next few years.

MAHLE – Hall 3, Stands A11 & A20. Hall 9, Stand A69

With a monumental presence at the event, MAHLE will be displaying its original equipment (OE) components and systems across three impressive stands.

The focal point for the show will be ‘powered by your needs’, with the focus on demonstrating its ability to fully understand the market and therefore supply the needs of their dedicated customers.

MAHLE will be showcasing its future technology solutions and constantly expanding range of products on stands in Hall 3. The company will also have a third stand, featuring the innovative service and diagnostic tools from the MAHLE Service Solutions division in hall 9.0.

New products, including the Matrix HD84 system, an innovation that takes lighting technology to the next level will be launched. Another important addition is an expanded range of sensors which are a vital component within a vehicle’s Start/Stop system, vacuum pumps, pedal sensors and oil level sensors.

BEHR HELLA SERVICE, a world leader in thermal management systems, will be exhibiting its air conditioning and cooling ranges, specifically water pumps for commercial vehicles and electrically controlled mixing valves for passenger cars. The company’s thermal system expertise will be demonstrated by its interactive climatic cycle circuit, which visitors can use.

HGS will be launching a new camera based headlight setting tool that will configure headlights, which will ensure that garages calibrate these lights correctly. HGS will also have live demonstrations and videos to provide an insight into the diagnostic range and the training it has to offer.

It will also be hosting a station at the ‘Mechanic Games’ on Friday and Saturday for visitors to test the new camera based headlight setting tool. Participation in this event gives independent workshops the chance to test HGS’s equipment to see how efficient it is for themselves.

FTE Automotive – Hall 4, Stand C30

Visitors will have the opportunity to personally experience the FTE automotive remanufacturing technology and the latest product innovations in the field of powertrain solutions – some of it even interactively.

Those looking for tailor-made aftermarket solutions are sure to find what they need at the FTE automotive stand. It will include an area dedicated to the range of hydraulic brake and clutch spare parts available in OE quality, alongside an exciting new addition: a comprehensive selection of remanufactured calipers. FTE automotive’s position as a leading remanufacturer of brake calipers will be a key point of focus for the event, and the remanufacturing process will also be illustrated.

The innovative FTE lubrication oil pump will also take centre stage at its Frankfurt debut.

MEYLE – Hall 5.1, Stand A10meyle

Visitors can look forward to a completely different appearance of the MEYLE brand at its exhibition stand where it will be showcasing a whole raft of new products such as axle repair and water pump kits, stabiliser links and its brake pad range included in the following exhibits: Steering and Suspension, Cooling Parts, Brake Parts, Commercial Vehicles.

ASNU – Hall 8.0, Stand F55

ASNU will be exhibiting their world leading ASNU Classic GDI Injector Testing & Servicing System.

ASNU is not only suitable for the Aftermarket workshops, but also for the Professional Performance & Race Engine shops, Marine and Motor Cycle workshops.

MANN-FILTER – Hall 3, Stand A51

The claim “MANN-FILTER – Perfect parts. Perfect service.” is visualised on the stand in a special way in order to enable every visitor to discover complete new aspects of the MANN-FILTER performance and to detect the multitude of its customer benefits.

Besides this, it shows its high level of filtration efficiency with innovative products such as the new three stage water separation for fuel filters, the FreciousPlus cabin air filter with its several awards as well as the new fuel filter with three-layer filter medium which significantly improves filtration performance.

Another highlight is the presentation of the MANN-FILTER Team ZAKSPEED with its Mercedes-AMG GT3 in yellow-green MANN-FILTER design outside the front of hall 3. Here motorsport fans can get very close to the race car and to the driver team of the 24h race at Nürburgring 2016.

Absolute AligAlignmentnment – Hall 8, Stand J30

Absolute Alignment’s will be exhibiting the latest in vehicle alignment technology for small and large workshops.

Modern 4-wheel alignment has developed through “computerised” or “laser” systems and works by drawing a virtual box around the vehicle. Clever software in the base unit then calculates the angles of all 4 wheels compared to manufacturer specification, and produces easy to follow adjustment instructions on-screen. It’s time to future proof your business, and profit from the opportunities of alignment beyond the wheels.

Autodata – Hall 8, Stand M95

Autodata will be raising the bar again this year as it readies to unveil its latest developments at Automechanika. The industry is set to see a new level of automotive technical information, as Autodata reveals: a huge step forward for motorcycles, the latest development of their data integration product, and an even more advanced workshop application.

It will reveal the latest technical developments and will highlight some of the new, innovative, API powered solutions; now on the market and in development for the future. It is a true look into the garage of the future.

Autodata is also launching a brand new online platform for motorcycles that will cover over 61 motorcycle manufacturers, including 8,051 models from 1976-2016.
