Ring launches towing range

While Ring is primarily known for its lighting range, the company covers an array of accessories and components and will now be offering a towing range.

Ring has a selection of towing equipment, including plugs and sockets, cables, mirrors, towbars and reflectors, which ensure drivers who tow have all they need to stay safe throughout their journey.

To extend its offering and create a more comprehensive towing range, Ring has added four products to assist with drivers complying with the law.

For vehicles towing trailers, the trailer must have two red sidelights, two red stop lamps, an illuminated number plate and two triangular red reflectors, plus amber indicators on the back. Drivers can be fined up to £2,500, be banned from driving and get three penalty points for using a vehicle in a dangerous condition, which would include faulty lights.

The first two products Ring has introduced are LED four foot (RCT955/LED) and six foot (RCT965/LED) trailer boards with dynamic indicators. Both are PVC trailer boards with two, four function LED trailer lamps that include dynamic indicators, brake lights, tail lights and licence plate mounting. Both also have two reflectors, one LED fog lamp and come with a six metre cable and seven pin plug. The products also have their E4/E11 approval, the only difference between the two products is the length of the board.

Alternatively, if there’s already a trailer board, or similar, available, Ring has a magnetic LED lighting kit (RCT802), which is held on by two strong magnets. The kit has two, five function LED trailer lamps, including regular indicator, brake light, tail light, licence plate and reflectors. The kit comes with a 12 metre cable and a seven pin plug with a four metre cable between lamps. It has E4 approval and is installed without complex wiring, making it ideal when the user needs a solution and needs to swap the lamps between pieces of equipment.

Finally, Ring has launched a 8/13 pin alignment cap (RCT735), which ensures correct alignment of a 13-pin plug also creates a watertight seal for when a caravan is stored away.
