HELLA launches brake range to UK aftermarket

HELLA has launched its range of brakes into the UK aftermarket, marking an expansion for the brand after more than a decade of braking experience across Europe.

Developed to meet the demands of busy workshops, the braking lineup goes beyond pads and discs, including calipers, drums and shoes, master and wheel cylinders, and wear indicators. It is further complemented by HELLA electronics such as brake-by-wire pedals and ABS sensors

Neil Grant, Managing Director at HELLA UK, said: “For the last decade I have seen the success that HELLA have had across Europe with our complete braking solution. I am, therefore, delighted that we are finally able to bring the complete product portfolio to the UK Aftermarket. We know that with our proven quality and competitive price point, we will see early success with those who want to be first to market to offer something new and different.”

HELLA brake pads are engineered to OE standards, using over 200 friction material components. Constructed with powder-coated steel backplates and high-shear adhesive, they feature application-specific chamfers and noise grooves to ensure quiet braking.

Ian Mattacola, Braking Product Manager at HELLA, explained: “Each pad is developed to mirror the original specification, ensuring confident, consistent braking in all conditions. We’ve taken OE design principles and applied them directly to the aftermarket, so workshops can fit with total confidence.”

Brake discs are also built to OE standards, using high carbon content for enhanced heat dissipation and reduced brake fade where required. A water-based coating protects against corrosion and removes the need for cleaning before fitment, saving time on installation. All discs carry ECE R90 approval, confirming their safety and integrity.

HELLA calipers are new units which are 100% bench tested and ready to install, with no surcharge or core return required.

With around 6,000-part numbers already available in the UK, HELLA will continue to expand its braking offer to in excess of 9,000 references, providing more solutions to support UK workshops.

HELLA will be showcasing its range of quality Braking products at Automechanika Birmingham from June 3-5 on stand Q80, near the Hall 19 entrance.
