Abbey Motor Services, run by the Lloyd family, is celebrating after winning a fantastic free draw through ignition specialist NGK’s BoxClever garage loyalty scheme.
The independent garage received one million points, which can be exchanged for a once-in-a-lifetime holiday or a new car or van.
Tim (51), who entered the promotion, said: “This is absolutely amazing news; I can’t believe we’ve won. We always take part in the BoxClever promotions but this is the first time we’ve won.”
The family-run garage carries out service and repair work and MOTs on all-makes of vehicles at its Polesworth premises located near Tamworth and is a long-standing customer of NGK, fitting the company’s spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK Lambda and other engine management sensors and ignition coils.
The Lloyds are visited regularly by NGK Sales Representative John Money; something that they say is extremely helpful to their business.
Rick said “It is very important to have personal contact with someone like John who is on hand to deal with any queries we may have. We would really miss his visits.”
NGK Spark Plugs (UK) Ltd Marketing Manager Mark Hallam said: “The promotion has proven to be incredibly popular with our BoxClever members and we are delighted that Abbey Motor Services have won the million points which they can now use to get their dream prize.
“The company has always been one of our most loyal customers and it was brilliant to be able to tell them they had won and help them celebrate their success.”
The concept of BoxClever is simple. Following the purchase of NGK spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK sensors and ignition coils, BoxClever scheme members are encouraged to collect the single boxes that the products come supplied in and these are then returned in exchange for prize points.
The company recently revitalised the scheme to offer an array of exciting new prizes featured on the revamped website ngkboxclever.com where members can check their points balance, convert their points into prizes and where non-members can now register.
Trapped
BoxClever promotions girl Gemma Lloyd had to be rescued by a group of passing cyclists recently, when she became trapped in the back of a company van for four hours when after climbing in to retrieve a pen.
It was only when her cries were heard by the riders, who were on a charity ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End in aid of Sport Relief, that her ordeal came to an end.
NGK will be making a £500 donation to the charity as a thank you to the cyclists.
