Absolute Alignment is once again exhibiting at MECHANEX Sandown Park. Autodata – Stand A12

Chicago Pneumatic – Stand F2
Chicago Pneumatic will once again be asking visitors to try their hand at the Pit Stop Challenge at Sandown.

It has proved a real crowd-pleaser so far this year, with participants required to remove a car wheel from the hub, touch it to the floor and put it back on the hub in the fastest timing using CP’s CP8848 cordless impact wrench.

DENSO – Stand T10

Hella Gutmann Solutions will be showing its latest piece of advanced test equipment, the CSC (Camera & Sensor Calibration) Tool, at Sandown. With the increasing amount of advanced sensor technology in modern vehicles, the latest CSC device will be a welcome addition to a workshop’s diagnostic equipment.

The CSC tool has been developed by Hella to work in conjunction with the mega macs range of diagnostic devices. It communicates with the vehicle’s camera or radar systems, the sensors of which are normally fitted to the vehicle’s windscreen and incorporated into the rear view mirror, or the radar sensor located near the front grille. These ensure the correct calibration of the vehicle’s axis. This calibration is critical to ensure that safety systems, such as the adaptive cruise control, lane departure, autonomous emergency braking and intelligent lighting technologies are all correctly aligned.

Mobiletron has launched the MORE TPMS universal sensor and programming tool, strengthening its aftermarket TPMS range.

Scott Wunderley, Mobiletron’s TPMS specialist, said: “The MORE sensor is a programmable universal TPMS sensor to be used in conjunction with our new programming tool. The sensors will be available in 315 & 433 MHz.”

Scott adds “We have developed the programming tool to be lightweight, simple and easy to use. It will program the sensors in less than 10 seconds and comes complete with a clone function to provide the ability to clone an existing TPMS sensor ID. This will remove the need to perform the ECU re-learn, maximising workshop installation times.”

Wheels servicing equipment specialist, Pro-Align, will be at MECHANEX Sandown Park to present three powerful time-saving systems from its comprehensive range of award winning Hunter equipment.

Quite Unlimited will be at Sandown Park to present GISMO, a cloud-based garage management system that works on most internet connected devices, such as PC’s, Tablets and Smart phones, and so reduces the need for buying new hardware.

Supertracker – Stand C32
Supertracker will be presenting an innovative cross-section of its current alignment equipment, including the flagship STR420 RW eight sensor aligner, along with the STR 120B and STR 220R wheel aligners.

The STR 120B has been specifically produced to ‘bridge the gap’ between Supertracker’s laser aligners and computerised aligners and incorporates six sensor technology as opposed to eight sensors in the computerised range.

The STR220R is a redesigned version of the company’s successful STR210R, which offers a different operating system from Linux to Industrial Embedded Windows.

Sykes-Pickavant – D24
The supplier of specialist automotive tools and electronic service / diagnostic equipment will be showcasing a variety of new products at Sandown.

Visitors to the show will be able to see the recently extended range of air tools including the new powerful ½” Impact Wrench, specifically engineered for wheel changing and a new selection of additional inserts for use with the popular ‘Vibro-Impact’ air hammer.

A number of popular products, including the Injector Max machine – a simple and effective method of cleaning both petrol and diesel fuel systems will also be on display.

As well as that, the company will be showcasing the brand new press guard, consisting of a steel construction and mesh design that mounts onto most types of press to increase safety in the workshop.

Throughout the show, visitors will be able to watch live demonstrations of a number of new tools including specific solutions for Ford Transits, as well as the expanding range of Induction Heaters that now includes a completely portable 12v version that works with any battery pack or 12v battery.

Wood Auto – Stand A1
Wood Auto will be at Sandown to present the TEM2153 Vehicle Ignition Key/Transponder Antenna Tester, an independent device that will light an LED to show any interaction between the ignition key and the ignition switch transponder antenna.

A simple, quick and cost effective method to eliminate a failure-to-start situation which can occur if:

• An incorrect key is used.
• The transponder antenna/system is defective.
• The ignition key is faulty or requires recoding.

With any of the above faults an engine may well crank over but still fail to start. By using the TEM2153 a vehicle technician can quickly move on to investigate other possible causes of failure such as fuel, no spark, injectors, etc.

As transponder systems operate using a wireless signal the TEM2153 can be used on both 12V and 24V vehicles.
