Gates has introduced Belt-in-Oil (BiO) part numbers for oil pump drives and cam belt drives to its aftermarket range.
Each BiO belt features an oil-resistant hybrid tooth fabric cover on top with an oil-resistant nylon-coated back. The multi- layered, oil-resistant compound contains high-strength and high- density glass cords that also include oil resistant impregnation. Its BiO belt technology combines simplicity and proven efficiency with robust materials that can resist oil contamination for the life of the engine. The new BiO aftermarket range will be included as an extension of the Gates PowerGrip timing belt range. Three of the new aftermarket BiO belt part numbers will cover increasing numbers of Ford and VW applications equipped with oil pump drive belts.
