Witham Group has announced a commercial vehicle engine oil which carries the latest Volvo VDS – 5 and Daimler DTFR 15C130 specifications.
The Super HD FE 5w-30 now offers extended oil drain intervals, fuel economy, engine cleanliness, anti – wear technology and helps reduce emissions with its low SAPS formulation.
Euro 6 is the most stringent European emission standard for diesel engines. It requires vehicle engines to operate under tight tolerances, so it’s important to use the correct lubricants and coolant. Engine oils with a low or mid SAPS rating are designed to meet the Euro 6 standard and keep engines in good condition.
Fuel efficient engine oil can help a vehicle comply with Euro 6 emission standards by improving fuel economy and reducing CO2 emissions:
- Fuel economy: Thinner oils, with a lower viscosity, require less energy for the engine to pump. This leaves more energy for the vehicle to drive, which improves fuel economy
- CO2 emissions: Thinner oils improve fuel economy, which also reduces CO2 emissions
- Engine protection: Using the correct oil can help protect the engine and aftertreatment systems
- Pollution: Low viscosity oils can lead to less pollution
