The Schaeffler REPXPERT technical team has revealed they were back out on the road, supporting staff from the In ‘n’ Out Autocentres network.
During two days of training at the In ‘n’ Out HQ in Northampton, selected technicians learned about the latest developments in OE clutch, timing system and wheel bearing technology.
Schaeffler’s Northern Sales & Key Accounts Manager, Andy Walters, said: “We are used to working proactively with customers, so we were delighted to be asked by In ‘n’ Out Autocentres to help the business increase the scope of the work it handles by providing additional training. We started the process in July last year, with sessions focused on INA timing drive systems and FAG wheel bearings, but the planned second phase of LuK clutch training unfortunately fell victim to the COVID lockdown. However, both parties were keen to resume the programme as soon as restrictions were eased, and it became safe to do so.
“Two of our most experienced REPXPERTs, Alistair Mason and Tim Adams, delivered a comprehensive two-day training package that included a LuK clutch technology overview plus product and technical updates for the INA and FAG brands.
“Naturally, everybody observed COVID safe working practices using the current Government guidelines, which included conducting lateral flows tests before and after the training sessions.
“As always, the presentations were incredibly well received, and the positive feedback was great to hear. We just hope that these tentative first steps back will kickstart a return to normal service in the coming months!”
