Mintex has revealed that it has received more than 50,000 hits on its online catalogue in the first six months of launch.
The brochure was launched to incorporate a VRM look-up tool on the braking brand’s company website. According to Mintex, part of the TMD Friction Group, the VRM tool is making it simpler for customers to recognise individual parts.
“The impact the VRM tool is having on ease of parts identification for our customers and their garage customers have been extremely positive,” said Simon Bradley, UK Marketing Manager.
“To hear that some garages are quoting our part numbers to distributors is a real step in the right direction and hopefully helps to strengthen that relationship though the Mintex brand.”
Mintex insisted that the success of the site was not only attributed to the quality of the data, but also the user-friendliness of the website, how easy it is to find what the consumer is looking for.
Mr Bradley continued: “We all know frustrating it can be to try and find an answer on a website, whatever the product or service may be, but once you have entered the registration of the vehicle, the answer is put in front of the user immediately, therefore, saving time and increasing efficiency.”
The VRM look-up tool is free to all users and is available to the general public, garages and Mintex distributors.
