EDT Automotive announces free installation offer

EDT Automotive has announced it will be offering garages an added incentive to join its network of treatment centres during June.

As more garages continue to reopen and increase their trading hours, EDT Automotive will be offering a limited number of ‘free installation’ six month trials on its engine treatment machines.

EDT Founder and Managing Director, David Holmes, said: “We hope and anticipate the garage sector is ready to bounce back in the months ahead. We want to make it as easy as possible for them to develop an additional profit stream by offering engine treatment to their customers.”

The free installation offer means there will be no capital outlay at all as the fully supported EDT engine treatment machines are charged on ‘pay per use’ basis.

David continued: “During lockdown cars have been used less often, for generally shorter journeys whilst people have stayed home. This can cause a number of problems including carbon build up.”

Symptoms will include poor running, high fuel consumption or engine warning lights. An EDT engine treatment has reportedly been shown to reduce emissions by up to nearly 70%, create fuel savings of up to 25% whilst boosting power and torque too.

David explained: “It may be that the car arrives at the garages with another problem like brakes or battery due to being left idle – or is simply in for an MOT or service – but it can still benefit from an engine clean.”

In the medium term, EDT Automotive believes garages are likely to be busy. Due to social distancing challenges on public transport, car commuting is tipped to increase.

David concluded: “We’ve also got all the delayed MOTs which are going to bring high volumes of cars into garages within the next six months.”
