The IGA has announced its field team will be offering advice to garages to help them achieve compliance in line with government advice surrounding coronavirus.
The field team will be able to pay garages a visit to provide guidance on safe working practices to prevent coronavirus transmission, allowing them to demonstrate to customers that their business is a safe place to visit.
The IGA has stated that this is a benefit of membership and there will be no fees involved. Once an audit has been completed, and the guidelines have been met, garages will receive a poster to reassure their customers that the business premise is a safe place to visit.
The visit will also help the IGA collect photographic evidence that garages have implemented safe working practises to prevent the spread of coronavirus, should they ever be needed.
To book your visit or for more information, call the IGA direct member helpline on 0845 305 4230, or email enquiries@rmif.co.uk.
For those needing additional materials to help maintain social distancing and hygiene measures throughout a garage, the RMI Webshop will now be offering personalised floor stickers, signage, posters, sneeze guards and hand sanitiser stations.
