These new Digital Torque Ratchets are designed to secure fasteners that need to be tightened to lower torque figures and when therefore over-tightening is a real risk. Smaller in length than a full sized torque wrench, they give a convenient and functional solution to this risk of over-tightening.
The ¼” drive model (part number 6207) is a compact 200mm long and covers the range 6-30Nm (4.4-22.1 ft/lb); the 3/8″ drive model (part number 6206) is 230mm long and ranges between 16-80Nm (11.8-59 ft/lb); the 1/2″ drive model (part number 6205) is 275mm long and ranges between 20-100Nm (14.8-73 ft/lb).
With a clear digital display, they all feature a very smooth 72 tooth ratchet mechanism, batteries are included and they are very accurate (plus or minus 3-4%). Automatic shut-off function. Each tool is supplied in a sturdy blow mould case for storage.
The new Brake Rewind Tool (part number 6329) features an adjustable two-pin adaptor that will fit pistons with a pin distance between 20 — 35 millimetres — this covers many popular vehicle applications.
And the big advantage of this rewind tool is that it features a powerful internal spring. This applies firm pressure to the piston as you turn the T-handle to make sure the inner piston mechanism is wound back.
The set also includes an adjustable three-pin adaptor which is designed for electronic park brake calipers. Again, the ability to adjust the adaptor means that it will fit many vehicle applications. Plus a standard two-pin adaptor is also included which enables it to be used with any piston adaptor, for example, single-pin versions.
