Yuasa Battery Sales (UK) Ltd have been awarded Halfords’ Annual Supplier of the Year 2016. The prestigious award was given out at the 2016 Halfords Annual Supplier Conference in Birmingham.
Being the major award of the event, it is seen as the most difficult for a supplier to win. Exceptional supply performance and the introduction of new products and services were cited as key contributing factors to the award being given to Yuasa.
Paul Tomlinson, Motoring Category Manager at Halfords said “We are delighted with the performance of Yuasa this year, not only have they delivered excellent availability, Yuasa have also supported us with various initiatives such as expanding our motorcycle range and offering home/work delivery of car batteries to our customers. The award is well deserved”

With over 460 stores nationwide, and a strong online retail presence, Halfords are one of Europe’s largest retailers of car parts. As battery supplier to the retailer since 2013, Yuasa has worked with Halfords to increase battery sales during this period. Various new initiatives such as new product ranges, point of sale displays and direct delivery of batteries have been launched during this time.
