Parts information data provider TecDoc has added motorcycle references to its product and vehicle data, when launching its Version 4 update to the ultra-successful TecDoc CATALOG electronic catalogue.
Approximately 4,000 motorcycles will be available in the TecDoc reference database for linkages by TecDoc’s official data suppliers. For structural reasons TecDoc will start the introduction by administering the data in the ‘passenger car’ section, with the necessary differentiation to take place through the type designation as ‘motorcycles’. The generic articles, in which TecDoc standardises the description of its parts, will be expanded successively with motorcycle parts.
“By adding motorcycles to the TecDoc reference data we are making an important move to add to the competitive strength of the independent aftermarket,” said commercial director for UK and ROI, Shaun Greasley. “For more than 20 years TecDoc has been offering an electronic parts catalogue for cars and trucks and the time is now right to extend the reach into the motorcycle sector.”
