NGK Spark Plugs (UK) has this month, officially changed the name of its UK operations to Niterra UK and has revealed updated signage at its Hemel Hempstead headquarters.
The company officially changed its name from April 1, 2023 to Niterra to better reflect its future strategy as it focuses more on new business fields – mobility, medical, environment & energy and communications. Niterra is a coined word which combines the Latin words ‘niteo’ meaning ‘shine’ and ‘terra/earth’.
However, the company’s brand names, NGK ignition parts and NTK vehicle electronics, will remain.
NGK’s Iridium and Platinum precious metal spark plugs may be more expensive, but when specified by vehicle manufacturers (VMs) and used during service and repair, will prevent possible problems due to poor ignition performances, poor tolerance to fouling, higher ignition coil loads and increasing unwanted emissions.
The ignition range also includes glow plugs, plus ignition coils and ignition lead sets.
NTK Lambda sensors offer improved engine efficiency, reduced emissions and increased economy. Other engine management sensors include NTK camshaft & crankshaft sensors, MAF & MAP sensors, Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) sensors and EGR valves.
