Garage owner Peter Mackenzie will always remember his 26th anniversary in business as it coincided with him winning a fantastic new tool kit cabinet worth £10,000.
The 60-year-old Scotsman was the lucky winner of a monster 1000-piece Teng Tools kit cabinet, courtesy of NGK Spark Plugs.
The prize was on offer to members of NGK’s BoxClever garage loyalty scheme when following the purchase of NGK spark plugs, glow plugs, NTK sensors and ignition coils, workshops are encouraged to collect the single boxes that the products come supplied in and return them in exchange for prize points.
Every time a member banked boxes during the three-month promotion they received an entry into the prize draw, with a free bonus entry for every NTK Lambda box banked, and when the promotion ended Peter was pronounced the lucky winner.
He said: “It was a fantastic surprise. When I heard I had won I thought it was a wind-up to begin with. You read about people winning prizes, but they always seem to be in other parts of the country.
“It is an amazing piece of kit. It’s packed with every tool you could possibly want including torque tools. It will be extremely useful. My own tools have become rather scattered about, so it is great to have everything in one place. To have won such a prize has made my work anniversary even more special.”
Peter, who runs Peter Mackenzie Auto Services at Unit 4, Harbour Road, Inverness, was presented with the Teng Tools cabinet by his local NGK Sales Representative John Catterson.
The latest promotion, which runs until the end of December 2017, sees NGK offering three lucky BoxClever members the chance to win 100,000 points each.
