Launch UK has supplied Autotech Experts with its latest Android-based diagnostic tool, the X431 Pad II, to be used in conjunction with various training modules, helping to keep technicians up to date with the latest technology and invest in the future of the aftermarket.
Based in East Sussex, the Autotech Experts centre of excellence provides classroom-based training to enable the development of key skills required for use in the automotive industry.
Offering more than 10,000 hours of technical training a year, the company is fully committed to preserving and updating technicians’ aftermarket expertise.
Launch UK’s partnership reflects its ethos of supplying the aftermarket with the latest technology and equipment, helping to ensure technicians of both today and the future have access to the very best information and tools.
The touch-screen X431 Euro Pad II provided by Launch uses the same award-winning vehicle diagnostic software as previous Launch X431 scan tools, but as well as this, it features improved multi-manufacturer vehicle coverage, powerful special functions, accurate and ultra-fast live data and graphing, along with module coding capacities.
The product also includes a specific ‘Golo’ button, allowing independent garages to use telematics and remotely diagnose and fix specific vehicle issues via a Golo device fitted to the vehicle’s OBD interface.
Dave Richards, Launch UK Managing Director, said: “We always look to support the training of aftermarket technicians to ensure those in the industry have access to – and are kept up to date with – the latest technology.
“The X431 Euro Pad II brings something new to the aftermarket in the form of a complete tablet experience and, as an IMI certified training centre, Autotech Experts can demonstrate its technicians how to diagnose and solve real-world problems.”
Roy Horna Fernandez, Autotech Experts Technical Manager, said: “It’s great to partner up with Launch UK to ensure we can deliver the very best training for the independent aftermarket.
“Technology in this sector continues to develop at a rapid rate and it’s essential we keep the industry up to date.
“The Pad II enables us to do this efficiently and we are delighted that we have access to such an advanced piece of equipment; we’re sure our delegates will greatly benefit from the diagnostic tool and will be fully prepared for use it to diagnose and solve problems faced on a daily basis in an automotive garage.”
