Workwear brand Dickies are having a great time of it at the moment, as sponsored rider Danny Buchan took two podium places with the Be Wiser Kawasaki team at Oulton Park earlier this month.
The Cheshire based track also saw Dickies parade their UK Worker of the Year competition for the last time this year, with entries set to close at the end of this month.
Events on the track over a three race MCE British Superbike weekend saw Buchan prove he has what it takes to mix it with the very best, following up a 3rd place in race one with a 2nd place result in race two.
Dickies-sponsored Buchan missed out on a podium in the third race, but finished 4th to round up a highly successful weekend for the exciting young rider. It was a tough weekend for Dickies ambassador Chris Walker, who struggled to make the top-ten pace over the weekend.
Hundreds of spectators also took time out to enter this year’s Dickies run competition, which will see this year’s winner have the luxurious choice between a Kawasaki Ninja 300 and a £5,000 holiday. The winner will also receive a year’s free shopping at ASDA and stand the chance of winning £100,000.00 at Brands Hatch in October.
Maurice Morton, sales and Marketing Director at Dickies, said: “We are delighted for Danny and it was great to see him get himself on the podium over the weekend. He has proved all year that he has the pace to keep up with the best, and we’re delighted to see his hard work reap rewards at Oulton Park. Away from the track, we’ve received hundreds of entries for UK Worker of the Year and we’d still encourage anyone to enter before the close of this month.”
