Ben has launched an active challenge, Move4Ben, which will start on 1st June and aim to raise funds and inspire people to improve their physical and mental wellbeing
Move4Ben will challenge participants to exercise in any way they choose and, at the same time, raise funds for Ben so that no-one in automotive has to face life’s toughest challenges alone.
To take part, each participant has to set their own personal challenge in terms of distance and exercise type. For example, participants could walk 10,000 steps a day, dance for 100 hours, complete 10k on a space hopper or run 5k a day.
Move4Ben will also promote some healthy competition within the industry and offer participants the opportunity to reconnect with others post-lockdown as they can take part with colleagues, friends, family, or on their own.
By taking part, participants have to commit to raise £100 – enough to pay for two mental health counselling sessions – and promises to be a great way to stay fit and healthy, too. Participants have a month to complete their challenge, which ends on 30th June, and they can connect their fundraising page to Strava to track their progress.
After a difficult year, Move4Ben will help automotive people get back on track, funding vital support, which is needed now more than ever.
Matt Wigginton, Director of Partnerships, Engagement & Income at Ben, said: “We’re really excited about our latest active challenge, Move4Ben! Giving people the opportunity to set their own challenge allows them to pick something they will personally enjoy and be creative, while also raising funds so we can continue to provide life-changing support for automotive people.
“We’ve been supporting more and more people with their health and wellbeing during this difficult time and we can only do this by continuing to fundraise through vital challenges like Move4Ben. We hope you’ll join us on this fun new challenge and be part of something amazing! We can’t wait to see what challenges you come up with – thanks so much for your support.”
