Darwen Diesels has produced a glow plug removal kit (311189000), which grips directly onto the hexagonal part of the glow plug’s outer body and with the aid of the impact hammer (provided in the kit), the plug can be removed.
The kit is suitable for thread sizes M8, M9 and M10, and it has a fast lock system that reduces man hours and damage to the cylinder head. Should the glow plug be severely damaged, then the company also supplies a tool for removing the broken filament from the cylinder head (311167000).
