The ambitious Wheeler Dealers will return to our screens at 9pm on Monday May 9 on the Discovery Channel.
More determined than ever before, experienced car dealer, Mike Brewer, and multi-talented mechanic, Edd China are back in the heart of the most exciting and competitive car business on the planet, the West Coast of America,
The boys are on the hunt for treasure as they find, tear apart, restore and ride a whole new array of jaw-dropping American and European icons.
Mike and Edd are once again calling sunny Southern California home, as Mike navigates the surrounding states in search of cars with money-making potential. It’s a brand new season, but the goal remains the same: find rundown classic motors and transform them into sleek, gleaming beauties ready to sell on to a punter for a healthy profit.
Back at base, Edd casts his specialist eye on each car and conducts his usual magic, applying his expertise as he tackles big jobs on the cars, from in-depth mechanical repairs to diagnostic challenges, full re-sprays and performance upgrades.
But things don’t always run smoothly as Edd is forced to work on cars which are often decades old, and where Mike’s desire to score profit has increased the risk of mechanical trouble.
In the new series, the boys get eco-friendly with the original ‘Econobox’, a 1977 Honda CVCC; rescue a neglected and extremely rusty Land Rover series 2a; transform the definitive military grade vehicle, the Humvee, into the ultimate camping accessory; and put the zip back into the performance of an 80s icon, the 1988 Ford Mustang 5.0.
When the repairs are complete, the duo hit the open road to test the restored ride before Mike tries to sell it for the highest profit possible.
From the massive oily challenge of rebuilding an engine to fixing tiny items like a rev-counter, no one knows how to transform a rust bucket to a dream machine like the Wheeler Dealers.
