All makes component and consumables supplier Motaquip, is the latest of a growing number of UK businesses to sign up for the TecDoc electronic parts identification system and become official data suppliers to its CATALOG electronic parts catalogue.
“CATALOG provides a multi-brand parts solution to the vehicle service industry with more than 560 replacement parts brands classified as official data suppliers,” said Commercial Director for UK & Ireland, Shaun Greasley, “so the addition of such a respected brand with a long established presence in the UK aftermarket, is great news for TecDoc users.
“We were convinced that once the decision was made to add the Motaquip brand to the CATALOG platform, the data would be of high quality and the assimilation process smooth and we weren’t disappointed.
“This addition allows users, both here in our ‘home’ market and overseas, to access accurate Motaquip parts information quickly and easily.
Jon Haywood, Motaquip’s Range Coordinator, who led the project added: “A key part of our growth plan was to make the brand accessible via TecDoc so that we can better support our existing customer groups and also provide potential new customers with an exciting and attractive alternative proposition for supply.
“Naturally, TecDoc is a crucial component in the Motaquip European expansion plans, without it we knew that our potential growth aspirations would be severely limited, however, we also see an increase in the quantity of our UK customers using the CATALOG alongside repository systems to further improve their businesses.
Haywood finishes “We pride ourselves on the quality of our parts data, but an additional benefit to being an official data supplier comes with the rigorous standards that TecDoc requires from its suppliers with regards to their data.
The system is renowned by users for the level of its accuracy and that philosophy starts with high quality data from suppliers such as ourselves.”
