Team AlignMyCar completes debut race season

AlignMyCar Racing, the motorsport team created by wheel servicing equipment supplier Pro-Align to promote the benefits of four wheel alignment, has successfully completed its debut race season.

Competing in the Toyo Tires Production BMW Championship, the AlignMyCar liveried BMW E30 raced in front of thousands of motorsport fans at some of the UK’s most prestigious race circuits including Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Donington.

Throughout the season the car was driven by Pro-Align Managing Director, Paul Beaurain, while technical and servicing support was provided by other staff members from Pro-Align.

Talking about the debut season, Paul commented: “The purpose behind us bringing AlignMyCar to this high-profile awareness platform of the race track was to continue our education strategy with the motoring public about the need for cars to have a ‘proper four wheel alignment’. It also provides an opportunity for our network of Hunter-equipped workshops, which now includes more than 300 alignment specialists around the UK, to capture even more highly-profitable alignment work.

“Competing in front of packed grandstands at a number of iconic race circuits, the AlignMyCar brand name has been seen by thousands of motorsport enthusiasts and we hope this is helping to pay dividends in raising awareness of this ‘essential service’ as well as support to our centre members.”

With a focus on simple, cost-effective and exciting motorsport, the series attracted a huge field of 50 drivers. In the closely fought races, team AlignMyCar achieved a number of respectable results, completing the season’s standings in 18th position.

“As well as promoting the AlignMyCar name, this season has given us valuable experience in the operational and competitive nature of running a race team,” added Beaurain. “You can be sure to see our colours racing again next year when we will apply our normal Pro-Align spirit and hopefully be challenging for some podium places!”
