Schaeffler has been recognised by the UK and Irish garage community for its range of INA timing belt kits.
In a recent nationwide survey, technicians were said to have consistently rated INA as the go-to timing belt kit solution for their replacement drive system needs. Confirming this position, more than 80% of respondents revealed they have regularly used INA timing belt kits, and 75% stated that it is their preferred brand.
Schaeffler believes its policy of only supplying OE quality products is the winning formula, with 95% of respondents rating it as an important factor, and 91% supporting the company’s practice of supplying a complete repair solution, including all the necessary replacement items such as bolts, nuts and clips, inside every KIT box.
Marketing & Digital Media Executive, Tony Yates, said: “The response to the survey was phenomenal, with the answers provided by technicians from across the UK and Ireland completely vindicating our position of only supplying OE quality parts, and offering support in terms of new technology information and technical training.
“Some of the other results are even more satisfying, as alongside the amazing stats concerning product quality, range and brand awareness, three out of five said that the training videos and support information provided through the REPXPERT programme was an essential tool in their daily routine.
“In addition, despite their understandable concerns regarding the Covid-19 pandemic, almost 80% of those polled expressed a willingness to attend a live training event this year. This highlights the importance and success of our ‘Back on Track’ campaign, which helped workshops follow the correct protocols and get back to work safely, and is further endorsed by the fact that 42% of technicians have not had any timing belt system training since they qualified, but would like to enrol on a REPXPERT Academy course to learn more.
“In short, the exercise not only validated our existing practices, but also provides us with a great deal of additional information we can use to further develop our support programme for professional technicians.”
