Austrian battery diagnostics and solutions company Aviloo, have launched a tool and software package which will help UK garages to check the health of EV batteries for their customers.
PMM learnt all about the launch at a presentation event at Matt Cleevely’s EV garage in Cheltenham where Marcus Berger managing director and founder Nikolaus Mayerhofer were in attendance from Aviloo and Andy Brooke managing director of Maverick Diagnostics.
The products offered in the partnership include the Premium and Flash Test. The latter offers a glance at battery health and can be conducted in three minutes with no charging or driving of the vehicle required. The solution, which accesses the vehicle’s battery data via the OBD port , covers over 90 per cent of EVs — coverage which is constantly being updated. The quick test obtains its results by measuring several parameters including vehicle communication, battery controller, HV battery state, battery system and low voltage system. A longer test is available for workshops testing vehicles suffering from intermittent issues, wherein a customer can drive away with the hardware plugged into the vehicle to generate a full and exact report.
Battery diagnostics solution from Aviloo are now available in the UK through Maverick Diagnostics.
