Draper Tools has revealed it has raised £3,950 for Ben, following the success of its 2025 Tool Advent Calendar.
The calendar, which featured a design of Father Christmas at the Santa Pod drag strip, offered 24 days of essential tools to open in the countdown to Christmas. For every calendar sold, Draper pledged £1 to Ben. Due to the demand from the trade, the initiative raised over £3,000 with the company donating an additional £500 originally earmarked for printed Christmas cards.
Ben is the charity dedicated to supporting the people of the automotive industry, providing health and wellbeing support for life for them and their family dependents. Ben delivers life-changing and often lifesaving support for those who are struggling or in crisis. For Draper, a family business with deep connections to the automotive sector, supporting Ben is a way of giving back to the people who keep the nation moving.
Sarah Hartland, Head of Marketing at Draper Tools, commented: “Ben is a cause that’s close to our hearts, we’ve seen firsthand what an incredible difference they make to people’s lives. That’s why we wanted our 2025 advent calendar to be a tribute to the automotive community and help raise funds at this crucial time of year.
“We know that for many in the trade, the festive season can be an incredibly demanding time of year, so we wanted to recognise the hard work of all those who collectively help keep the UK’s motorists safe and on the road. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who bought one of our advent calendars this year, it’s been fantastic to be able to make an extra special donation to Ben.”
Matt Wigginton, Director of Growth & Development at Ben, added: “We’re incredibly grateful to Draper Tools for their continued support. This donation will help us be there for more members of our automotive family who are struggling, or in crisis, providing vital health and wellbeing support when it’s needed most. Ben is on a mission to help more people each year; three times as many by 2030. That’s a bold ambition, but one we know we can achieve with the help of our industry, like the team at Draper Tools. We’d also like to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone who bought an advent calendar – you’ve helped us be there for people in our industry who would otherwise face life’s challenges alone.”
