Reflecting the major investment made in the business over the last two years and long standing reputation for industry training, Andrew Page plays a starring role in a video commissioned by the Institute of the Motoring Industry (IMI) to demonstrate how key companies in the motor industry are tackling the challenges of the future.
The ’Driving Change’ news-style video series from the IMI and ITN Productions, shows how Andrew Page is now set to meet the demands of the UK aftermarket through efficient parts supply and in-depth product and technical systems training.
Introduced by national newsreader Natasha Kaplinsky and reporter Lucy Siegle, the Andrew Page content features in the Powering the future section of the programme, and covers a number of Andrew Page’s operations including the Markham Vale distribution facility and an Andrew Page depot.
Featuring customer feedback and an AP-Tech/Auto Education technician, the four-minute video also gives viewers a glimpse at what Andrew Page is doing to support the aftermarket with streamlined processes and modern-day training.
Recent enhancements to Andrew Page’s Auto Education offering have added IMI-accredited courses and strengthen the company’s position as a one-stop-shop for garages requiring new diagnostic equipment and staff training.
As explained in the video, the technology on modern cars is developing at an incredible rate, with the average car on the road today having more electronic hardware than the equipment used for the first Moon landing. Because of this, Andrew Page has to ensure the right parts are consistently in the right place to fulfil orders as quickly as possible.
These developments have led to more electrical components being fitted to vehicles, meaning a gradual shift in the parts held at Andrew Page depots and a greater necessity for garage technicians to be trained in vehicle diagnostics. This year Andrew Page introduced its IMI Diagnostic Technician Accreditation Program through Auto Education, which forms an automotive technician’s first step to becoming an IMI Master Technician.

Our AP-Tech and Auto Education divisions have seen significant investments recently, having IMI-accredited courses strengthens our offering further.”
