Ben gears up for ‘Race Across Britain’ challenge

Ben has launched its second Race Across Britain challenge, the three-day racing challenge across the UK inspired by BBC TV series, Race Across the World.

Teams of two will take on a journey, navigating the route and relying on public transport, walking, cycling and their ability to adapt in the moment. Race Across Britain will return in February 2026, with no planes, no smartphones and no pre-planning.

Following the debut of Race Across Britain in 2024 which raised £100,000, this event is said to test the grit, creativity and teamwork of automotive industry people and raise vital funds for those who are struggling, or in crisis.

With a limited budget for essentials and no checkpoints revealed in advance, it’s a race where ingenuity and resilience count more than speed. Along the way, teams can complete impromptu tasks and challenges to top up their funds, but the clock is always ticking.

Matt Wigginton, Director of Growth & Development at Ben, said: “We can’t wait to race again next year. As Race Across Britain revs up for 2026, our automotive family is called once more to test their mettle, support their colleagues and champion the charity that’s there when they need it most.

Race Across Britain is full of fun, frenetic and wildly rewarding and it’s a celebration of our community’s creativity and competitive spirit. Every mile clocked up, every checkpoint reached and every pound raised matters. Whenever any member of our automotive family is struggling, we rally, and Race Across Britain shows just how far we’ll go to support each other. We hope you’ll get involved and help us change, and even save, lives.”
