Valeo Service UK has announced an upgrade to its product packaging, replacing traditional printed instruction leaflets with digital QR codes.
Now, when opening a Valeo box, vehicle technicians will find a QR code instead of a paper insert. Scanning it takes users directly to a dedicated online platform containing support information. These include step-by-step installation guides, technical bulletins, frequently asked questions, and a library of video tutorials.
The digital portal is available in more than 20 languages and works across all standard mobile devices.
As well as streamlining technical support, the move also represents a step forward in Valeo’s commitment to sustainability. With thousands of printed instruction sheets previously discarded after a single use, switching to digital content reduces paper waste and lowers the environmental impact of packaging across the product range.
Andy Swann, Managing Director at Valeo Service UK, said: “This change is really about making life easier for technicians. Instead of rummaging around for missing leaflets or wondering if the instructions are up to date, you just scan the code and everything’s there, straight on your phone or tablet.
“It’s quick, it’s clear, and there’s far more detail than we could ever include on paper. Plus, it’s always kept current with the latest vehicle information and guidance.”
