Delphi Academy is undergoing a significant expansion project to meet the evolving needs of UK workshops.
With a reported half-a-million-pound investment, the Warwick-based Delphi Academy will double in size by extending into a neighbouring unit, bringing the total floor space to 1,430 square meters.
Luke Garratt, UK Technical Services Manager at Delphi said: “We’re committed to staying ahead of the curve. This latest investment puts a focus on future technology and underscores our dedication to providing resources that empower workshops to excel in an ever-evolving industry.”
The extension will feature new training amenities dedicated to hybrid and electric vehicle training. It will house four additional classrooms and an open-plan workshop with two lifts, EV training aids, and additional Delphi training vehicles.
Elsewhere, an executive meeting room with glass-fronted walls will provide a panoramic view of the workshop. It will house a dedicated breakout area, offering comfortable seating and refreshment facilities for client management activities, according to the company.
“As an OE and Aftermarket manufacturer we’re stepping up our role to support workshops,” said Luke. “All of our trainers are experienced technicians that understand workshop life. The courses are based on real-world experiences, scenarios, and diagnostic procedures.”
The investment additionally incorporates a soundproof recording studio, which is said to reflect Delphi’s continued commitment to delivering its digital training resources. Equipped with cameras, lighting and a greenscreen, the in-house studio will be designed to facilitate the production of new training videos, webinars, interactive simulations and much more.
The new Delphi Academy facilities are expected to be operational from quarter three in 2024.
