DVSA announces six-month extension of MOT tests

The DVSA has announced that vehicle owners will be granted MOT exemption in battle against coronavirus.


It stated that from 30th March, MOT due dates will be extended by six months, so that key workers can continue to travel to work, vehicle owners who cannot work from home can commute, and those who need to can shop for necessities.

GOV.UK, stated: “From 30th March 2020, MOT due dates for cars, motorcycles and light vans will be extended by six months. This is being done to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.”
