Prepare for an EV future with Opus IVS training

Maximise your workshop productivity and prepare for the future with the latest training from Opus IVS Master Technicians.

Opus IVS has announced its latest training dates, with an extensive calendar of in-person courses. Made with technicians in mind, the upcoming courses cover a range of technologies and systems. These include level 2 and 3 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Repair & Maintenance, commencing on 19 – 20 May and 16 June 2022.

If you are working with Battery/Hybrid Electric Vehicles in your workshop, you’re probably aware that the UK is facing an electric vehicle (EV) skills gap, with too few technicians to service the volume of zero emissions vehicles predicted to be on UK roads by 2030. That’s an estimated shortfall of 35,700 qualified technicians by 2030!

Opus IVS are offering a number of IMI certified qualifications to support the need for electric vehicle training, covering:

  • How to work safely on hybrid and related vehicle systems
  • The correct method of shutting down and isolating high voltage systems
  • The layout and construction of hybrid and electric drive powertrain systems, and the identification of key components
  • The principles of high voltage battery construction, management and monitoring systems
  • How to work safely on a high voltage system
  • Replacing of high voltage components.
