Warning lamp illuminated and warning messages displayed – Peugeot 3008

FAULT

We have a 2012 Peugeot 3008 in our workshop with various warning lamps illuminated and warning messages displayed in the instrument panel. Trouble codes P16B1 and P16B2 are stored in the ECM fault memory. We do not have the information relating to these trouble codes.

FIX:

The cause is due to water ingress into the engine coolant radiator shutter actuator and wiring harness multi-plug, causing corrosion. Remove the front bumper then remove the engine coolant radiator shutter actuator (see Fig 1.1). Check for smooth operation of the engine coolant radiator shutter assembly when operated manually (see Fig 1.2). Repair/replace the component(s) as necessary, and then check the engine coolant radiator shutter actuator and wiring harness multi-plug for corrosion. Repair/replace the component(s) as necessary, then refit engine coolant radiator shutter actuator. Refit the front bumper and then erase the trouble codes and carry out a road test.
