Fix

This is a fault that our Land Rover Technical Help Desk receives a lot of calls about. The RF system consists of:

  1. The RF receiver in the roof
  2. Associated wiring
  3. The CJB behind the glove box
  4. The key

The most common fault involves losing the 12V power supply to the RF receiver. To fix this, you must first identify if you’ve lost the voltage at the RF receiver on the green and white wire.

If you have lost the voltage, then you can start to trace the green and white wire through the interior loom. It runs from the CJB pin 46 on the orange connector, along the NS sill, then up the B post and across the roof to the receiver.

The most common area for concern is the lower NS A post and along the NS sill, where you usually find the loom has corroded.
