Team TerraClean wins Two Ball Rally 2015

Team TerraClean has won the Two Ball Banger Rally for the second year in succession, raising more than £5000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The team travelled more than 2,000 miles across 10 European countries in a “monster truck” taxi with a Land Rover Discovery chassis, nicknamed “Maggie”.

The Two Ball Banger Rally is an epic European road trip, which in 2015 was as popular as ever with a record number of teams entered. The TerraClean team successfully negotiated a challenging route through northern France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Monte Carlo and southern France where they were crowned rally winners 2015 in Nice.

Having won the Two Ball Rally in 2014, the team – comprising TerraClean mechanics John Bowen, Bob Bathgate, Gary Wood and Sales Director Phillip Dowd – were well prepared to tackle the many varied and entertaining challenges such as gate crashing a wedding and entertaining a group of local people, along with getting local law enforcement into the Taxi.

Phillip Dowd said: “I would like to thank first and foremost the people and companies that have supported us and donated so kindly to Macmillan Cancer Support. They have been instrumental as we spent numerous hours rebuilding the taxi and taking it across Europe to compete and win the Two Ball Rally, raising much needed funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in the process.”
